In Snake's Collection
Back In Black, Bat Out of Hell: No Surprise here I have the same ones in my collection. As I eluded to in my comment, I thought some of these were the second tier albums by the artist. So I am sure we will see their better stuff later on.
Omission:
The Battle of Los Angeles - Rage Against the Machine:
This one kinda fits the same model that I have already said, second tier album with their self titled album being the best. I don't see why this one didn't make the list if we have organ music, the B-52's and people from Brazil.
It was named Best Album of 1999 by Time & Rolling Stone. SPIN magazine listed it in their 100 greatest albums of all time. These are the same credentials as other albums in this book.
I know I am a bit more of a Rage fan than Red, but this album was every in 2000. I remember (and I am sure he does too) watching the video for Testify over and over on MTV2 before the election. It featured one section in which Al Gore & George Bush's heads morphed into one person and stated some fact about how so many Americans won't vote because there is no real choice. Or something like that.
Maybe the editor just has different political views or doesn't like Micheal Moore (who director two of their videos). The music is a bit more controlled that their blast to the skull debut, but the message is still there hard and heavy. I enjoy listening to the entire thing. I think this has a pretty good cultural significance. Plus, Tom Morello is probably the biggest guitar virtuoso of our generation.

I think "Snake" should be in green. Just a editorial comment there.
I'd say Rage belongs. It'll be interesting to see if any of there other stuff shows up here.
Fair enough on the green. I guess I just feel back to blue for some reason. I didn't know what else I should put in my posts.
Do you think I should make my own post on everything or just keep writing super long comments?
I guess I am torn on that. I still wont feel like commenting on some of the throw away albums unless it is Eno and then I might flame on him for awhile.
You are a flamer. hah. hah.
Maybe you could do something like a "Rebound" or the "Rest of the Story" type of thing in you own post. Hit on things I missed (usually a lot). Expound on an album or two you really like or don't. Or omissions like this week. I am usually wrapped up on the albums in front of me that I don't think about what's not. I wouldn't go back over every album, that'd probably be repetitive. Maybe focus on something. Spice it up, dress it up however, you like. Maybe short responses on mine or something still.
Or you could keep the way things are. Up to you.
I like that, I need to come up with titles for little sections. I think I am gonna get away from the long comment cause i think that gets lost and at least it will be more to read on the main page.
Rest of the Story, I like that
Omissions, obvious i usually check the albums on my Ipod to see if i have something in there,
Corrections, not to pick on you, i think the book says the wrong thing sometimes.
I'll have to think up a title if i totally wanna bash something, that usually makes me feel better when I bash crappy albums.
Sleeper of the week or something like that, for the Pentangles, Tubronegros of the lists.
This could be awesome! or at least entertain us a little more :)
I was trying to come up with something musically related earlier for your post and it eluded me, but I had a epiphany in the shower (I also had a good idea). Ha. Ha.
How about "Snake's Encore"
As you'll see in my recent post, I am going with Snake's Encore. Has a good ring to it. We need to think up more easy crap to post on here and give the people something to look forward to. (I know delusional again)
